At Avon Marble, we only offer the best - our Italian Black Slate is carefully selected from Northern Italy, and our Zimbabwe Granite is supplied from an ethical source.

    Italian Black Slate (Honed Finish)

    The traditional choice, this is a soft dark grey/black stone with excellent heat tolerance.

    Whilst it can mark and wear with general use, slate can be revived and restored with no expert help; just a little wire wool and slate oil.

    Black Zimbabwe Granite (Antiqued Finish)

    A textured finish for a more rustic look, with all the benefits of hardwearing granite. Made from a denser igneous rock, it is capable of sustaining a high polish that is resistant to scratching.
